Directions to Pinecrest

 

There are numerous ways to Julian, each with fun sights and recreational options on the way—including the San Diego Wild Animal Park (Route 78); the wineries of the Temecula area (Route 79); the Pala Casino or the Mount Palomar Observatory (Route 76) ; the desert flower blooms of the Anza Borrego State Park (Route 78 from the East), and several other options. It’s no wonder that Julian is a motorcycle mecca with so many great ways to get there!

Coming from the West, drive through downtown Julian, passing the gas station on your right.  Take a right at Route 79, following signs for Lake Cuyamaca.

In a few miles, you’ll see a sign for a Vista Point. This small loop looks down upon the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Pinecrest is located directly across the 79 from the Vista Point.

If you are coming up from I-8, take 79 North, passing Lake Cuyamaca, winding your way up to the Vista Point and making a left into Pinecrest.
